Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer organization comprised of dedicated motorcyclists motivated to educate about the consequences of riding and drinking, to encourage the use of intervention methods to prevent impaired riders from riding, and to provide a safe free ride service to motorcyclists in Minnesota as a final intervention method.
If you have participated in a successful alcohol impaired rider intervention, this riding season, please share non-identifying personal information associated with the intervention to Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc.
Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc. is only interested in general information relating to the intervention such as when did it take place, where did it take place, and what intervention method was used to prevent the motorcyclist from riding.

Q. What is considered a rider intervention?
A. A rider intervention is anytime you or a group of friends have successfully prevented an alcohol-impaired motorcyclist, from riding their motorcycle, which ultimately prevented them from suffering one or all of the following consequences: death or serious injury, DWI arrest, or damage to their motorcycle.

A. Intervention information is one of the greatest resources of feedback for Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc. This information serves as a measurement tool to gauge both the public awareness of its intervention education campaign and overall rider pick up service. This information also supports identifying opportunities to continually deliver focused intervention rider awareness/education materials.
Q. What specific information is needed to report an intervention?
A. Date of Intervention, Approximate Time of Intervention, Location of Intervention - (ie the business name, City and State of where the intervention took place), Intervention Involved - (a rider or rider and passenger), and the Intervention Solution – (what method of intervention was used to prevent the rider from riding the motorcycle?)
Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride would appreciate that you provide your name and contact information, but is not required to report an intervention. You are one of the greatest resources of feedback to assist Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc. to continually focus to provide effective intervention training and overall program awareness. Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc. may want to contact and ask you general information about your overall intervention expeience or for ideas to support the overall program.

A. As mentioned above, this information is used to gauge the level of rider intervention awareness as well as that of the overall Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc. program. As with any effective measurment tool, the more feedback received over a period of time will provide opportunities to identify and focus specific training, program materials, and equipment to further promote and support the overall training, education and rider pick up service program.

A. Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc. will track and report intervention information for general statistical purposes and/or as testimonial in support of its program. For example, the general type of information reported may include, the total number of rider interventions in a given riding season, the breakdown of intervention methods used, the day of the weekend, etc. This information is valuable to Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc. for the overall planning of resouce allocation that includes volunteers, program materials and equipment to meet the service needs of motorcyclists.
As an organization that exists through the effort and support by motorcylists to serve motorcyclists, any individual names or information related to an intervention that may become known to Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc. is kept confidential and is not reported or made public. The mission of Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc. is to educate motorcyclists about the effects of alcohol impaired riding and intervention methods as well as provide a pick up service as a last intervention method. As a result, of Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc's effort, there exists a potential opportunity that no motorcyclist in Minnesota should find themselves involved in any one or combination of the following circumstances: to injure themself, injure someone else, get a DWI arrest or wreck their motorcycle as a result of riding a motorcycle while impaired by alcohol.
