Educational & Awareness Handouts
Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc. has made available for you to print the following rider educational and awareness handouts related to riding and drinking. These handouts can be distributed to promote motorcycle safety at your organizational meetings and events. The last section of each handout gives a brief overview of Motorcycle Dial-A-Ride, Inc. as well as the service hours of operation.

"Don't Rely on Luck or Fate, Now that the Limit is .08" - On August 1, 2005 a new Minnesota law will go into effect that lowers the BAC legal limit to .08%. Outlined are some of the penalties and fines associated with an impaired or DWI offense.
Drinking and Riding Don't Mix - Alcohol effects the rider's abilities to safely ride motorcycle long before the rider becomes legally intoxicated. Here is a quick overview of how alcohol effects some of the major skills required to safely ride a motorcycle.
BAC Levels and Rider Impairment - As a person drinks more, their level of Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) increases. This information shows that as the BAC level increases, there is a continued degree of rider mental and physical impairment.
Rider Intervention Methods - The first effect of alcohol lowers one's ability to make rationale decisions. It may be up to you to step in and prevent someone who has been drinking from riding. The importance of rider interventions and suggested methods are discussed.
